Employee State Insurance (ESI) Registration




Registration under Employees State Insurance (ESI) is mandatory for an entity if such entity has 10 or more employees at any point in time. An entity cannot take registration on a voluntary basis if it has less than 10 employees. Registration under ESI is important (if applicable) for every entity because it provides health security to employees against uncertain illness and accident in the future so that employees can do their work with confidence whose ultimate benefit goes to owners.
